Mexico-Port Villarta
On 17th June Baba, me, Sonu, Ameya, Agela, Mike & Bekky left for Mexico from Richmond via Huston.
Total flight time about 5 hours.Surprisingly there were no flight delays and we reached PortVallarta in the afternoon. Took a minivan and reached Sandeep & Shawn's apartment which is about 30 minutes ride from the air port.
One look at the pent house apartment and we all started to worry how we can lug our bags on those steep steps. While we were contemplating the possibilities Jose the caretaker came and quickly and effortlessly reached all our bags upstairs. As we started the inspection of the apartment we came to the open kitchen & living area and paused in awe of the scene in front of us. There it was the pacific in all its glory. It looked as if it was an extension to the living area. It was beautiful and breathtaking.
We finally settled down in our rooms and set out in search of food ad every one was hungry. Right across the street was this small restaurant called "The pirates" and we settled down for our first Margarita's and beer and food.
next six days were all about food , walks in the streets of Port Vallarta , beach and leisurely sitting in the balcony with wine and food looking at the sun set which was almost at 8:30pm.It was daylight until 9:30. I always felt that it was too early to eat dinner at 7:30 or 8 in the evening due to the sun light.
We went to couple of very nice restaurants like "The Kliff", El Set etc. The moves Night of iguana, Predator etc were shot here.
One day we went on a cruise to near by beach where one could para sail,ride on a banana boat, go jet skiing & snorkeling.
Ameya and Mike went jet skiing, we went on banana boat and had nice sea food for lunch. It was a whole day activity.
I am uploading few pictures baba & sonu took over there. I feel that it is trip worth every penny and all of you should take some time or the other.
